bodymachine Day 2 Daniel Fast “GET UP AND MOVE!!!” Your Body Is A Machine, and as such it needs the proper fuel to keep operating at it’s maximum potential.  There has never been a better way to fuel your body than with Eating Right and Exercise.  It may seem old fashioned in light of this modern age of diets and cosmetic surgery but, there are no short cuts that will not harm your body in the long run.  The fad diets may seem good for the moment and you may even lose an incredible amount of weight, but in the long run you may gain the weight back plus a few more pounds and you will have caused your body an untold amount of stress and irreparable damage. What you’re looking for is a Life Style Change!!!  A permanent way to stay Fit and Healthy and enjoy the years that you’ve been given. The Daniel Fast is a great way to get you going in the right direction.

greensmoothieFruit & Veggi Smoothie (frozen or fresh)

2 cups almond milk

1/2 cup blueberries

1/2 cup pineapple

1/2 cup strawberries

1/2 cup spinach

1 small zucchini

Breakfast being the most important meal of the day is also the most overlooked.  I myself do not like to eat first thing in the morning but the body needs the fuel so I tend to opt for my 2 glasses of water, a cup of herbal tea with apple cider vinegar and honey, and a fruit and veggie smoothie.  Oatmeal,  eggs, egg whites or whole grain breads along with fruit are all good options for breakfast.  Stay away from the boxes of cereals high in fructose, and sugars and the high calorie muffins with butter and those breakfast bars. Read Your Labels.

You can NEVER eat too much Fruits and Veggiesmorelessposter.  The main foods in the Daniel Fast are Fruits and Vegetables, so that means shopping.  The key is to shop the perimeter of the Grocery Store which holds about 90% of what you want in your cart.  Frozen and canned can be substitutes but always try to go for as fresh whenever possible.  Ideally your plate should be piled high with fruits and veggies, whole grain carbohydrates such as brown rice, quinoa, couscous or whole wheat pasta and a minimal amount of meat and dairy products.  Not only will this give you the vitamin and minerals your body needs but it will also fill you up more quickly and you will stay full longer.

READ, READ, READ  the labels!!!  I know I said this before but I cannot emphasize this enough if you can’t understand what it says put it back on the shelf and keep walking lol.  Labels such as, fat free, diet, and sugar free are a big NO NO!!! The body is fed with chemicals and artificial sweeteners such as Aspartame etc  that can cause weight gain, dizziness, depression, and more.  Some of the headaches aches and pains, extra tiredness and fatigue can be directly linked to the food you are eating.

Exercise is as important as your diet.  Along with eating right you must GET UP and MOVE!!! zionfitness Whether it’s Zionic Dance Fitnesssurging, kickboxing, or running.  You Need to do at least  15-20 min per day at high intensity 3-4 times per week.  Below you will find a few Fitness videos to help you get started.  Take your time and pace yourself especially if you’ve never done anything like this before.  Always remember to do a warm up before and cool down after your workout and have fun with it.
