Day 11

You’ve reached the halfway mark of this 21 Day Daniel Fast!!! Cue the Fire Works Please!!!fireworks You should be proud of yourself, but don’t get carried away just yet there’s 10 more days to go.  By now you should be an expert on what works and what doesn’t work for you on this Fast (just joking lol), It takes a long time to get your Spirit, Soul, and Body to accept change and align itself with a Healthy Life Style  Some days are easier than others, so here are a few tips to help you reach  your 21 Day goal.

TIP #1: Keep things simple. Don’t try to do too much whether it is in the area of exercise or your diet try to, as I’ve said before, Listen-Vs-Ignorelisten to your body. If you do too much too soon you can cause injury to yourself both physically and mentally, thus hindering your progress and in some cases stopping it completely.

Tip #2: Stick to the changes you’ve made. Once you’ve made these lifestyle changes give yourself time to make them part of your life. Don’t let others(family, friends etc) discourage you from the path your on. As You start to look and feel better sometimes instead of people feeling happy for you, they get jealous and try to discourage you. Press the ignore button and move on.

Tip #3: Keep it interesting. Variety is the spice of life, so if you feel yourself slipping back into old ways, mix things up a bit. Buy a new healthy cookbook, sign up for a healthy cooking course or try a new activity.  Those dance classes you’ve been meaning to take. 

Tip #4: Optimism vs Pessimism.  For some people halfway there translates to “I’ve almost reached my goal”, for others it’s, “Look how much more I have to go before I reach my goal.” It’s a perspective thing. Cup half full or half empty. I’ve always been more of a cup is half full type of person and in order to make a lasting change you might want to consider optimism OVER pessimism.  optimist

Tip #5: DON’T SET UNREALISTIC GOALS!!! Setting unachievable goals can result in stress, and disappointment which can effect your Spirit, Soul, & Body and cause even your achievable goals to become too much. By all means challenge yourself but at the same time keep in mind that You are Your Own competition look in the mirror and therefore, you cannot judge your progress by comparing yourself to those around you.
